Golden-headed Lion Tamarin
Leontopithecus chrysomelas

The golden-headed lion tamarin inhabits forest canopy and edges in the Atlantic Forest of eastern Brazil. It moves rapidly through vines and branches, searching under bark and in crevices for insects, while also eating fruit, nectar, and small vertebrates. Its vivid golden mane frames a dark body, making it one of the most distinctive small primates in its range.
