Black-mantled Tamarin
Leontocebus nigricollis

The black-mantled tamarin inhabits tropical rainforest and forest edges in western Amazonia, moving quickly through the lower and middle canopy. It feeds on fruit, nectar, tree exudates, insects, and other small animal prey. Agile hands and claws help it cling to trunks and probe bark for food, while sharp calls keep contact in dense vegetation.
