Malayan Civet
Viverra tangalunga

The Malayan civet is a nocturnal mammal of forests, plantations, mangroves, and areas near human settlement in Southeast Asia. It searches the ground and low vegetation for fruit, insects, small vertebrates, eggs, and carrion. Its spotted coat and secretive habits help it move unnoticed through dense cover. Scent glands are used to mark territory and communicate with other civets.
