Amur Rat Snake
Elaphe schrenckii

Adult Amur rat snakes inhabit woodlands, forest margins, farmland, and areas near human settlements in northeastern Asia. They climb well and hunt rodents, birds, eggs, and other small vertebrates, overpowering larger prey by constriction. Despite their impressive size and defensive hiss, they are nonvenomous and help limit rodent populations.
