Bolivian Blue Leg
Pamphobeteus antinous

This large tarantula lives in humid forests and forest-edge habitats of Bolivia, often sheltering in silk-lined burrows or natural crevices. It waits near cover for insects and other small animals, then rushes out to seize them with its fangs. Adults are noted for the striking bluish coloration on their legs and can defend themselves by displaying their fangs or brushing irritating hairs from the abdomen.
