Chinese Golden Scorpion
Olivierus martensii

The Chinese golden scorpion inhabits dry, rocky slopes, scrubland, and sheltered ground in northern China and neighboring regions. Mostly nocturnal, it waits near crevices or burrows before seizing insects and other small arthropods with its pincers. Its venomous tail sting subdues prey and deters predators, while its tough exoskeleton offers additional protection.
