Underwing Moth
Mesapamea storai

The adult underwing moth occupies grassy habitats and is most active after dusk. It flies low among vegetation, using its muted forewings to remain difficult to notice while resting by day. Adults may visit flowers for nectar while searching for mates and suitable egg-laying sites. Like many noctuid moths, it is drawn to artificial lights at night.
