Stocky Cerith
Cerithium litteratum

Adult stocky ceriths inhabit shallow tropical shores, including seagrass beds, mangrove margins, and sandy reef flats. They slowly graze algae, biofilm, and decaying organic material from hard surfaces and sediment. The heavy, high-spired shell protects the animal while it retreats inside during danger or harsh exposure.
