Jungle Babbler
Argya striata
Jungle Babblers inhabit open woodland, thorn scrub, farmland edges, and gardens across the Indian subcontinent. They spend much of the day hopping through leaf litter and bushes for insects, fruit, nectar, and seeds. Adults are highly social and frequently communicate with varied, chattering calls. The species is often nicknamed the Seven Sisters because of its conspicuous social groups.
