Whitewashed Rabdotus
Rabdotus dealbatus

Adults inhabit humid woodland edges, scrub, and leaf litter in the Gulf Coastal Plain. Mostly active at night or after rain, they scrape fungi, algae, and decaying vegetation from surfaces with a rasping radula. The chalky white shell helps reduce heat absorption and conceals the snail against pale soil and limestone.
