Lovely Vallonia
Vallonia pulchella

Lovely Vallonia is a tiny terrestrial snail found in moist leaf litter, short grass, and mossy ground across open, calcareous habitats. It slowly grazes algae, fungi, and decomposing vegetation, usually becoming active in damp weather. Its pale, flattened spiral shell provides a firm refuge from predators and drying conditions. Despite its small size, it can survive periods of dryness by sealing itself safely within its shell.
