Marsh Crane Fly
Limonia phragmitidis
Adult Marsh Crane Flies frequent reed beds, wet meadows, and the edges of marshes. They fly weakly through low vegetation and may take moisture or nectar, while their brief adult life is focused largely on finding mates and laying eggs. Despite their long legs and mosquito-like appearance, crane flies do not bite people.
