Asian Bordered Jumping Spider
Carrhotus viduus

Asian bordered jumping spiders inhabit shrubs, grassland edges, gardens, and other sunny vegetation across parts of Asia. They stalk small insects with keen vision, then make rapid, precise leaps to seize prey. Like other jumping spiders, they do not build a capture web, but use silk as a safety line while moving and jumping. Their venom helps immobilize tiny prey and is not considered a serious danger to people.
