Maritime Earwig
Anisolabis maritima

The maritime earwig lives along sandy coasts, hiding beneath driftwood, stones, and stranded seaweed during the day. Active mostly at night, it eats small insects, other shoreline invertebrates, and decaying animal material. Its curved rear forceps are used in defense and in handling rivals or prey.
