Australian Autumn Moth
Mnesampela privata
Adult Australian autumn moths inhabit eucalyptus woodland and suburban areas where their larval food plants grow. They are chiefly active at night, flying through the trees and resting quietly on bark during the day. The adults have variable brown and grey markings that provide effective camouflage against trunks and branches.
