Blue Land Crab
Cardisoma guanhumi

Blue Land Crabs inhabit mangroves, coastal scrub, and damp lowland forests near tropical shores. They dig deep burrows to escape heat and dryness, often emerging at night to forage on leaves, fruit, carrion, and small animals. Their heavy claws can pinch hard in defense. Adults must still return to the sea to release their larvae.
