Bufo praevius Tadpole
Bufo praevius (tadpole)

This tadpole develops in shallow seasonal pools and other still freshwater habitats near West African forest edges. It grazes algae, decaying plant matter, and tiny organic particles with its specialized mouthparts. Its flattened tail provides quick bursts of swimming when danger approaches.
