Corvus moriorum
Corvus moriorum

Corvus moriorum was a large raven of the Chatham Islands, using forest and open habitats while foraging on the ground and in trees. It likely ate a broad omnivorous diet of invertebrates, carrion, eggs, fruit, and small animals. Its robust bill and large body suggest a powerful generalist forager, but the species became extinct after human settlement of the islands.
