Red-eye Wrasse

Cirrhilabrus solorensis

Red-eye Wrasse

Adults inhabit clear coral reefs, especially outer reef slopes and rubble-rich areas. They spend the day actively swimming above the reef to catch zooplankton and tiny crustaceans. The vivid red eye and bright body coloration make mature males especially striking during display behaviour.
