Giraffa stillei Calf
Giraffa stillei (calf)
This calf stays close to its mother in open woodland and savanna habitats. It browses tender leaves and shoots while gradually adding more woody vegetation to its diet. Alert and long-legged from an early age, it can kick sharply to deter a close threat.
