Proterocara argentina
Proterocara argentina
Adult Proterocara argentina was a freshwater ray-finned fish of ancient Argentine waterways. It likely pursued small aquatic animals while using vegetation, banks, and murky water as cover from predators. Its streamlined body was suited to rapid bursts of swimming rather than long, sustained pursuits.
