Miocoluber dalquesti
Miocoluber dalquesti

Miocoluber dalquesti was a small extinct colubrid snake from the Miocene of North America, known chiefly from fossil vertebrae. It likely occupied warm, vegetated ground habitats, moving through leaf litter and low cover in search of small vertebrates. Like living relatives, it probably hunted by seizing prey with its jaws and swallowing it whole. Its exact coloration and many details of its behavior cannot be determined from the limited fossil material.
