Steadman's imperial-pigeon Chick
Ducula david (chick)

This downy chick remains in a sheltered nest in forested island habitat, relying on its parents for food. It is fed regurgitated fruit pulp and gradually begins pecking at soft fallen fruits nearby. Its wings are still developing, so it moves mostly by shuffling and short hops. Like other pigeon chicks, it grows rapidly before becoming independent.
