Grandidier's Cichlid
Ptychochromis grandidieri
Adult Grandidier's cichlids live in freshwater habitats of Madagascar, including rivers and lake margins. They forage for small aquatic invertebrates and plant material, using their jaws to pick food from the bottom and submerged surfaces. This Malagasy endemic is threatened by habitat degradation and introduced fish.
