Endler's Livebearer
Poecilia wingei

Endler's livebearer inhabits warm, shallow freshwater pools and slow channels in northeastern Venezuela, often among dense aquatic plants. It feeds on algae, detritus, small crustaceans, and insect larvae, picking food from the water column and surfaces. Males actively display their bright colors and darting movements to females, while the species is notable for giving birth to live young rather than laying eggs.
