Sedge Warbler Fledgling
Acrocephalus schoenobaenus (fledgling)

A fledgling sedge warbler has left the nest and makes short, fluttering flights through reeds, rushes, and waterside shrubs. It still depends partly on its parents but begins practicing insect-snatching among stems and leaves. Its diet is mainly small insects, spiders, and larvae, gradually caught more often by itself. A notable fact is that fledglings often stay well concealed in dense marsh vegetation while their flight feathers finish strengthening.
