Common House Gecko Hatchling
Hemidactylus frenatus (hatchling)

Newly hatched common house geckos are tiny nocturnal lizards that hide in cracks, wall edges, and sheltered corners near warm buildings. They feed on very small insects and other tiny arthropods, using quick lunges rather than strength. Their pale, delicate bodies blend well against walls and bark, helping them avoid larger predators. Like adults, hatchlings can cling to smooth surfaces with specialized toe pads, but they are more vulnerable to drying out and attack.
