Asian Grass Frog Froglet
Fejervarya limnocharis (froglet)
This newly metamorphosed stage lives along muddy banks, wet grass, and the edges of flooded fields. It eats tiny insects and other small invertebrates that it can catch with quick lunges. Compared with the tadpole, it relies more on hopping, hiding low in vegetation, and staying close to damp cover. Its remaining tail is absorbed after metamorphosis, fueling the transition to life on land.
