Cerulean Warbler
Setophaga cerulea

Adult Cerulean Warblers are small canopy-dwelling songbirds of mature deciduous forests, often associated with tall trees near stream valleys or ridges during the breeding season. They actively glean insects from leaves and twigs and may make short aerial sallies after flying prey. Their diet is mainly arthropods, with some plant material taken outside the breeding season. A notable fact is that this migratory species travels between North American breeding forests and wintering areas in the Andes, and it has declined sharply where mature forest habitat has been lost.
