Red Junglefowl Juvenile
Gallus gallus (juvenile)

Juvenile red junglefowl range through dense undergrowth, forest clearings, and cultivated edges while learning to forage independently. They eat seeds, fallen fruit, insects, and other small animals scratched from the soil. Their wings and tails are still developing, so they rely more on quick running, hiding, and short fluttering bursts than strong flight. Young males gradually develop brighter plumage and stronger legs as they mature.
