White-tailed Eagle Eaglet
Haliaeetus albicilla (eaglet)

A nest-bound eaglet lives high in a large stick nest near coasts, lakes, or broad rivers. It is fed fish, waterbirds, and carrion by its parents while it grows rapidly on the nest platform. At this stage it can peck, grasp weakly with developing talons, and fluff its down for warmth and defense. One notable fact is that the pale down is soon replaced by darker juvenile feathers before the first flight.
