Red-whiskered Bulbul Fledgling
Pycnonotus jocosus (fledgling)

A fledgling Red-whiskered Bulbul has left the nest but still makes clumsy short flights between branches and nearby cover. It stays in gardens, thickets, forest edges, and plantations while adults continue to feed it fruit and insects. Its crest, brownish body tones, and facial markings are developing, but the red whisker patch may still be dull or incomplete. This is the risky stage when it learns to balance, evade predators, and forage on its own.
