Thick-legged Flower Beetle
Oedemera nobilis

The adult is a metallic green beetle often seen on sunny flowers in meadows, hedgerows, gardens, and woodland edges. It feeds mainly on pollen and nectar while moving between open blossoms. Males have strikingly swollen hind femora, giving the species its thick-legged name. Adults fly readily in warm weather and are important casual flower visitors.
