Light Emerald
Campaea margaritaria
The adult Light Emerald is a pale green nocturnal moth of woodland edges, hedgerows, gardens, and scrub. It flies at night and is often attracted to lights, while by day it rests flat among leaves where its colour provides strong camouflage. Adults are short-lived and focus mainly on dispersal and reproduction rather than feeding. Its delicate green wings and fine pale cross-lines make it one of the more easily recognized emerald moths.
