Grape Leafhopper
Hebata vitis

The adult is a small green leafhopper found in vineyards, hedgerows, and leafy vegetation where it rests on leaf undersides. It feeds on plant sap and escapes danger with explosive jumps followed by short flights. Adults communicate using subtle plant-borne vibrations rather than loud airborne calls. Despite its tiny size, it can be an important vineyard pest because feeding and egg-laying contribute to visible leaf stress.
