Jacky Dragon
Amphibolurus muricatus
Adult Jacky Dragons are active, sun-loving agamid lizards of open forest, woodland edges, heathland, and coastal scrub in southeastern Australia. They perch on logs, rocks, and low vegetation, scanning for insects before sprinting or lunging after prey. Adults use head-bobs, push-up displays, and body postures in territorial and courtship interactions, and they can remain extremely still when their camouflage is most useful.
