Domestic House Spider
Tegenaria domestica

The domestic house spider is a small funnel-web spider often found in sheds, cellars, window frames, and quiet corners of buildings. It waits near a sheet-like web and rushes out when vibrations reveal small insect prey. Its diet includes flies, moths, mosquitoes, and other small arthropods. Though venomous to prey, it is shy around humans and its bite is not considered medically significant.
