Asian Koel
Eudynamys scolopaceus

A medium-sized cuckoo found across South and Southeast Asia in forests, orchards, parks, and leafy towns. It feeds mainly on fruit, especially figs and berries, while also taking insects and other small invertebrates. This bird is famous for its loud, ringing calls during the breeding season. Rather than building its own nest, it lays eggs in the nests of crows and other birds, leaving them to raise the chick.
