Grass Spider
Tibellus oblongus

An elongated running crab spider often found stretched lengthwise along grass blades, reeds, and low vegetation. It hunts without a prey-catching web, relying on camouflage, stillness, and quick lunges to seize small insects. Like most spiders, it uses venom to subdue prey after a bite. Its narrow body and pale side stripes help it disappear among stems in sunny grassland edges and marshy margins.
