Asian Woolly-necked Stork
Ciconia episcopus

Adults inhabit wetlands, flooded fields, river margins, ponds, and open wooded country across parts of South and Southeast Asia. They walk deliberately while hunting fish, frogs, crabs, insects, and small reptiles, striking prey with a long pointed bill. Despite feeding on the ground and in shallow water, they are strong fliers that travel between foraging sites and nest in tall trees. A notable fact is the white, woolly-looking neck feathers that give this stork its common name.
