Crimson Sunbird
Aethopyga siparaja

Adult Crimson Sunbirds live in tropical forests, mangroves, plantations, parks, and gardens across South and Southeast Asia. They feed mainly on flower nectar with a slender curved bill, also taking small insects and spiders, especially when breeding. Adults are agile perchers and short-distance fliers, often defending feeding spots with calls, displays, and quick chases. The male is notable for its vivid crimson body and iridescent markings, while the female is much plainer and better camouflaged among foliage.
