Guppy Fry
Poecilia reticulata (fry)

Newborn guppy fry live in warm, shallow freshwater with dense plants, roots, or debris that give them cover from larger fish. They feed on microscopic algae, tiny invertebrates, and suspended organic particles while making quick dashes between hiding places. Unlike many fish larvae, they are born live and already able to swim and feed independently. Their small size makes concealment important, since even adult guppies may eat unprotected fry.
