Common Sun Skink
Eutropis multifasciata

Adult common sun skinks are active daytime lizards of forest edges, plantations, gardens, river margins, and disturbed sunny ground across much of Southeast Asia. They eat insects, spiders, worms, and other small animals, seizing prey with a quick rush and jaw snap. Adults bask openly but retreat fast into leaf litter, roots, or crevices when threatened. A notable trait of this skink is live birth, with females producing formed young rather than laying exposed eggs.
