White Spring Moth
Lomographa vestaliata

The adult White Spring Moth is a delicate pale geometrid moth found in woods, hedgerows, and gardens, especially in spring and early summer. It flies at night and rests by day on vegetation or trunks, where its light wings help it blend with pale bark and blossoms. Adults mainly seek mates and may take little or no food compared with the leaf-feeding larva. Like many moths, it is drawn to artificial lights, which makes it easier for naturalists to record.
