Eurasian Teal
Anas crecca

A small dabbling duck found on ponds, lakes, marshes, estuaries, and flooded fields across much of Eurasia. It feeds by tipping up in shallow water to sift seeds, aquatic plants, mollusks, insects, and other small invertebrates. Adults are wary and quick to spring from the water with fast, agile flight. It is one of the smallest dabbling ducks in its range, but it can migrate long distances between breeding and wintering grounds.
