Long-legged Fly
Condylostylus sipho

An agile metallic-green fly often seen on leaves, trunks, and low vegetation in warm, humid habitats. Adults are active hunters, rushing after tiny insects and other small arthropods with quick reflexes and spiny legs. They rest conspicuously on foliage but can launch into rapid, controlled flight when disturbed. Males of many long-legged flies show ornate displays, and this species belongs to a group noted for delicate bodies, long legs, and predatory habits.
