Two-spotted Bumblebee Larva
Bombus bimaculatus (larva)

The larva lives inside a waxy brood cell in a nest often hidden in old rodent burrows, grass tussocks, or cavities near the ground. It is a soft, legless grub that feeds on pollen and nectar supplied by adult workers rather than foraging for itself. Its main behavior is eating and growing through several molts before spinning a cocoon. A notable feature is that its entire world is the nest chamber, where temperature and food supply are controlled by the colony.
