Oblique-banded Leafroller Moth
Choristoneura rosaceana

The adult is a small brown tortricid moth found around orchards, woodlots, gardens, and hedgerows where host plants are common. It is mostly active at dusk and night, resting by day with mottled wings that blend against bark and foliage. Adults focus on dispersal and reproduction rather than leaf feeding, using flight to locate mates and egg-laying sites. Its oblique wing bands give the moth a broken outline that helps it disappear on rough plant surfaces.
