White-spectacled Bulbul
Pycnonotus xanthopygos

A small, active bulbul of the eastern Mediterranean and Middle East, often found in scrub, orchards, gardens, parks, and rocky wadis. It moves through shrubs and trees in quick hops, feeding mainly on fruit, berries, nectar, and small insects. Its white eye-ring gives a spectacled look, and the bright yellow vent beneath the tail is a key field mark. Pairs are conspicuous and noisy, with varied calls used for contact and alarm.
