Great White Shark
Carcharodon carcharias

Adult great white sharks range through cool and temperate oceans, patrolling coasts, islands, and continental shelves. They prey on large fish, rays, other sharks, seals, sea lions, and carrion, often using powerful ambush attacks from below. Their serrated teeth and massive bite let them remove large pieces of flesh efficiently. Despite their fearsome reputation, they are slow-growing animals that can live for many decades.
